Admission Procedure Print E-mail

Admission to the college begins soon after the declaration of the H.S.L.C. and Higher Secondary Examination results and closes on the dates fixed by the Higher Secondary Council and the Dibrugarh University. Students desiring to take admission in the college need to contact the college office for detailed information.

Application for admission to the college must be made in the application form attached with this Prospectus and Hand Book. The Prospectus and Hand Book along with the application form can be had from the college office on payment of Rs. 50/-. Admission to a particular Course/Stream is allowed on the basis of merit, good conduct and character of a student/applicant. Admission to the college cannot be claimed as a matter of right.

Completed application form along with the following duly attested supporting documents/testimonials should be submitted to the college office before closing of the submission date as notified by the college. The originals are required to be produced at the time of interview and admission.

 

1.     Pass Certificate issued by the Head of the Institution last attended.

2.     Marksheet of the H.S.L.C./A.H.S.E.C. or equivalent examination.

3.     Admit Card of the Examination last appeared.

4.     Two copies of Passport Size Photographs.

5.     Caste Certificate, where necessary.

6.     Certificate of Sports, Music and Extra-Curricular activities.

7.     Transfer/Migration Certificate issued from appropriate authority, if any (for a maximum of two years only)

A merit list is prepared according to the seat capacity in each class. A waiting list is also prepared. If canidates listed first fail to take admission on or before the notified date of admission, the college reserves the right to allow admission to the wait listed candidates.

Course Updates
 Career Oriented Course
From the academic session 2008-2009, Lakhimpur Commerce College has introduced Career Oriented Course in “INSURANCE”. As per UGC guidelines the syllabus of the course has been prepared by the College of its own with the help of subject experts. The aim of the course is to create self employment and empowerment of the students will be equipped with a certificate with a conventional degree.
 Computer Accounting Courses
 The college has introduced certificate course in Computer Accounting for the for the TDC (Commerce) students. The Students will be able to equip themselves with modern Accounting Package.

 The Course will be started from the 2009-2010 Academic session on a self financial basis.
 In addition to this the computer course for Higher Secondary students (Both Arts & Commerce) will also be continued as earlier on self- sustaining basis.
